About

My name is Nicole McDonald Martinez and I have over 20 years of clinical experience assisting children, adolescents, and adults through difficult times, emotional crisis, or painful life transitions. I strive to provide each client/family with a warm, secure, and nurturing environment to promote healing in their lives. Using an integrative approach, I aim to offer clients/families the necessary tools and strategies to facilitate change in their life in a compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative way.

I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Illinois State University and a Master of Social Work Degree at Dominican University. As a member of the National Association of Social Work, I continuously stay abreast with current trends and research in the areas of social work.

I have a diverse background of experience, as a school social worker and providing individual, group, and family therapies in an array of settings including inpatient and outpatient programs and group practice. I have also obtained certification as a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist through Evergreen Certifications. I enjoy utilizing my training and knowledge to assist in helping clients build healthy interpersonal and emotional regulation skills. Using a collaborative and relational approach, it is my goal to help individuals, couples, and families establish and maintain healthy relationships, as well as their ability to cope with painful life events.
